Our Recognized Research Group, “Discourses and Poetics of (Post)Modernity,” gives answers to the artistic, cultural, social, ethical, and political transformations of modernity and postmodernity.

Our research group

Lines of research:

    • Anglo-American literature: poetry, theatre, short fiction, modern, post-modern, and contemporary narratives.
    • Narrative studies: modernity and post-modernity, autobiographical narratives, speculative fiction, magical realism, musical theater, science fiction, post-, neo-, hyper- and trans- narratives.
    • Ethnic American literature.
    • Cultural studies, literary criticism, hospitality theory, space and border studies, memory studies.
    • Postcolonial literature, women writers: race, class, gender, and sexuality.
    • Visual narratives and otherness: aesthetics, philosophy and history of emotions.
